How to vote in Australia!

Unfortunately, voting is compulsory which means that potential candidates don’t actually have to actively campaign to get your vote. For those not keen on voting, they may just roll up and get their name crossed off, draw a donkey or a penis on the ballot paper and leave. Some will vote the same way they always have without even thinking. And others will make an active choice to try and make a difference.

Can you make a difference? In this election, I would say yes. Australia has a peculiar preferential voting system which seems to confuse most people but can work in our favour. If you’re sick and tired of the corruption and lies or you’re not happy with either majour party, there are options.
